THE 2008 PROMPT
This year's prompt is visual. It is an edited clip from the 1950’s educational film “Duck and Cover”. Teams must use the visuals from the clip provided to them. They are not required to use the audio, but they may if they elect to. Teams are required to use at least 60 seconds of visuals from the clip provided to them. The film must exist inside the world of your film (at some point) and the characters must acknowledge its presence.

The 2nd Annual 28-Eighty Film Shootout Competition, where filmmaking teams have 2,880 minutes (48 hours) to write, shoot and edit their films, will take place from August 8th through the 10th as part of the 2008 Bangor Film Festival.
*INFORMATIONAL MEETING & REGISTRATION
AUGUST 8TH, 7:00 P.M.
Teams wishing to register & participate in the shootout must attend this meeting. Out of area teams (or those not able to make the meeting) wishing to participate may do so by contacting the competition administrators.
*COMPETITION PERIOD
STARTS: AUGUST 8TH, 9:00 P.M.
DEADLINE FOR FILMS: AUGUST 10TH, 9:00 P.M.
*COMPETITION SCREENING AND AWARDS
AUGUST 16TH, 7:00 P.M.
The top films will be screened and judged by a combination of audience votes and judges' scores. Awards and prizes will be given in 5 categories.
