28-Eighty Shootout Registration
Step 1: Read Contest Rules
* Registration is open to everyone. We will accept teams up until one hour before the start of the competition. There is no limit of teams for the competition.
* Each team must pay a $20 entry fee upon registration. This fee can be paid via PayPal on the team registration page. Late registrants (those signing up on the day of the competition) can pay the $30 late registration fee in cash.
* Only one movie can be submitted by each team.
* Each movie must be no longer than 8 minutes (including credits) in length.
* Teams must submit their final movie within the alloted time frame or they will be disqualified.
* Your movie must be original material. Teams are responsible for the copyright of the material in their submission.
* You may shoot on any format. Final submissions MUST be submitted in NTSC as a Quicktime, WMV, or AVI file burned on DVD-R. Emailed submissions will be accepted as long as they meet the deadline.
* Due to limitations on screening time, only the top 12 films will be screened.
* All the final submissions will be posted on our website. Teams who register for the competition grant the right in perpetuity to the competition administrators to exhibit their film in any format (internet, DVD, etc.) for publicity purposes. The copyright of the film remains with the filmmakers.
* There are no refunds on your entry fee, even if your film does not make it into the top twelve.
* Awards are determined by a combination of the judges' scores and audience vote.
